The best thing about Pokemon is you can take your time and not rush through it, and have endless amounts of fun either way. :)I’m glad you’re enjoying! The Pokemon following you around in it is such a great plus, haha.

If you’re a female, and if you’ve ever picked up a video game and played it, you’re a gamer girl. It doesn’t matter if you’re attractive and wear makeup and you just play for a couple of hours- or even minutes, and it doesn’t matter if you don’t…

Can’t you just be a “gamer”?

There’s absolutely no reason to bring your gender into gaming. You don’t have to slap a label on yourself that says “I game and I have a vagina”. It’s not really all that special.

Call yourself what you want, but imo, it only makes you look like you’re fishing for attention. Do you see guys going around saying “I’m a guy, and I play video games…unusual, right?” No, you don’t (though, there are plenty of guys here on tumblr who joke about it). Do you go around talking about your other hobbies like that?

“I’m a girl and I love photography. I’m a girl photographer! xoxox”
“I’m a girl and I loooove art. I’m a girl artist!”
“I’m a girl and I love love LOVE bicycling. I’m a girl bicyclist!”

See how ridiculous those sound? Thats just about the level of ridiculous people sound when they say, “I’m a girl and I LOVE video games. I’m a GIRL gamer!”

It’s not the late 80’s/early 90’s where video gaming was a boy thing. It’s shared almost equally by both now. Girls who play video games aren’t some sort of endangered species…just call yourself a “gamer” and get over the fact that you have a vagina…it’s nothing new.

HeartGold or SoulSilver—either one is a great start, and a remake of the Game Boy versions. As a plus, newer Pokemon are introduced to you only after you’ve beaten the Elite Four. It’s a very well done remake.
